Wild Ace celebrating with End of the World After Party

Denise VandenBerghe isn’t taking any chances on the world ending Friday – 12-21-2012.

Wild Ace Pizza and Pub is hosting an End of the World After Party and breakfast buffet. The party is 10 p.m. Friday and lasts until 2 a.m. Saturday with an all-you-can-eat buffet. A Bloody Mary bar and champagne mimosa will be featured.

Greer Station Association selected its 2013 board of directors and set its agenda for next year.

GSA is coming off a successful year with its majestic Greer Station Windows campaign decorating the historic downtown area. The Stomping Grounds was voted first place with its presentation.

The Stomping Grounds at 208 Trade Street won the best window display.

Santa might want to consider downtown Greer as a substation to the North Pole.

Storefronts, courtyards and rooftops were sparkling in all their elegance Tuesday night for the Greer Station Windows event. Stores, already fashionably decorated, added a few more sparkles, baubles and greenery.

Carolina Treasures locates at Train Depot

Carolina Treasures has opened at 300-G Randall Street, at the former Train Depot. Will Yarborough and Shannon Moody, his daughter, are co-owners of the antique and vintage shop.

The store offers a selection of products that range from primitive to retro and covers an inventory of knickknacks to painted furniture. “If we don’t have it we can probably find it,” Yarborough said.

Atlanta's 'Mudcat' at Rhythms & Brews Tuesday

Danny "Mudcat" Dudeck of Atlanta will be at Rhythms & Brews as part of the Rockin' Tuesday Blues Jam.

The internationally known gospel and bluesman, "Mudcat" regularly performs his Bayou-baked chicken-party revues at Atlanta’s Northside Tavern, a noted blues club. His repertoire includes gospel, delta, Piedmont blues, Cajun, Americana and country.
