Normal festival street closures, reserve parking available

All dressed and waiting to introduce the party scene to festival goers.
 
 

The City of Greer will close the usual downtown streets for this weekend’s Family Fest. However, reserve parking is being offered behind the Hot Spot off Poinsett Street. It is across from City Park where Edwin McCain will perform Saturday night.

Reserve parking Friday is $5 for 6-10 p.m. and $10 Saturday. Festival hours are 10 a.m. – 10:30 Saturday. Call 864-416-1716 to reserve a space or drive to the lot.

Signage for downtown brewpub signals opening is near

The Blue Ridge Brewing Co. signage, with its traditional blue lettering on a silver background, was attached to its restaurant at 308 Trade Street.
 

Signage for The Blue Ridge Brewing Co. has been posted at 308 Trade Street.

The opening is rescheduled to late May, according to Bob Hiller, owner/operator of the brewpub.
