Kohl's is setting up shop at Piedmont Plaza

Kohl's will be renovating the former Kmart building at 1326 W. Wade Hampton Blvd. to open its first Greer store. Demolition is completed and the interior is ready to be be renovated.

Kohl’s has finished demolition of the vacated former Kmart store at the Piedmont Plaza 1326 W. Wade Hampton Blvd. and will begin its upfit in time for its expected opening in the fourth quarter of this year.

The retail store will add about 100 jobs, GreerToday.com has learned. Employees from other upstate locations began applying for managerial and hourly positions last fall.

QuikTrip gets best business nod from Fortune
JAN 19, 2012

QuikTrip is scheduled to open mid-February. The gas/convenience store at Buncombe Road and W. Wade Hampton Blvd will feature a full kitchen to prepare food and 5 islands with 20 pumps for gas. The store is now hiring.

Walmart Neighborhood Market would bring 90 jobs to Greer

The Neighborhood Market in Greer  would be the first venture of Walmart's grocery store concept to be launched in South Carolina. 

A Walmart Neighborhood Market appears headed to Greer that would bring 90 jobs and mark its first venture into South Carolina.

“Greer is an area of interest,” Glenn Wilson, a real estate broker for Walmart properties in the southeast, said. “We don’t have any Neighborhood Markets in South Carolina or Georgia. This is a relatively new concept and we have an aggressive growth plan.”

BMW announces nearly $900 million investment, adding 300 jobs at its South Carolina plant

BMW Manufacturing Co. in Greer announced it is investing $900 million, adding 300 jobs and expanding its X-model family.
