Five candidates will compete for the 2012 Miss Greater Greer title and six will vie for Miss Greater Greer Teen Saturday night at Greer High School, pageant officials have announced. The pageant begins at 7:30 p.m.
2011 queens Laci Olson, Miss Greater Greer, and Abby Riggs, Miss Greater Greer Teen, will end their tenure Saturday night.
Miss Greater Greer contestants are Lauren Cabiniss, Erin Frost, Markie Gresham, Gabriella Howard and Briana Taylor.
Miss Teen contestants are Bry Atchison, Kaylee Henderson, Natalie Hopkins, Josie Petit, Sydney Sill and Ashley Yates.
This year's Miss Greater Greer should prove to be very entertaining, considering many of the participates have previous pageant experience.
Dixie Waldrop will be the mistress of ceremonies. Olson and Riggs will provide the entertainment. Tickets are $15 at the door, cash or check only.
