Three separate residential developments will add 245 new homes in the city near Riverside and on Highway 14 South.

Gray Engineering will develop the properties, with prices ranging from the $200,000 to $300,000 range.

Jonathan Nett, representing Gray Engineering, said, “We’ve been busy the past few weeks and Mr. Beason is looking for more development in the area.”

“We’re as busy as a lot of counties,” Glenn Pace, Planning and Zoning Coordinator, said. “People are wanting to come to Greer and be part of the city.”

Mark III Properties will build out all three developments.

City Council unanimously approved first reading Tuesday of separate ordinances for annexing the following properties:

• Riverside Commons, 13.2 acres at E. Suber Road. 94 upscale single-family townhomes, R-12 (residential, single family cluster) zoning request. Square footage and price to be determined.

• Community to be named, 33.7 acres at 1705 Abner Creek Road. 88 upscale single-family homes, R-12 (residential, single family cluster) zoning request. 2,000-square-feet minimum. Price in mid-$200,000s.

• River Watch, 38.79 acres on East Suber Road, 63 single-family homes, R-12 (residential, single family cluster) zoning request. 2,500-square-feet. Price $300,000s.

The Planning Commission will hear the rezoning requests Monday at 6:30 p.m.
