• ALDI enters Greer market
ALDI is hosting a hiring event to staff its stores in Greenville, Greer and Taylors. It will serve to fill positions at the new 17,000-square-foot store being built at Poinsett and Wade Hampton Blvd., and its Taylors and Woodruff Road stores.
The event is Tuesday, July 14 from 9 a.m. – noon, and 1-5 p.m. at the ALDI store at 1771 Woodruff Road in Greenville.
The Greer store is scheduled for a fourth quarter opening.
Forty positions are available, according to ALDI officials, including store associates, $10 per hour, and shift manager positions, $14/hour.
Job requirements include candidates must be 18 or older to apply, high school diploma or GED, work between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday-Sunday, retail experience preferred, drug screening and background check.
Employees averaging more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage and invited to participate in the 401(k) program.
Aldi is a global discount supermarket chain based in Germany with more than 1,300 stores in 32 states. It has more than 9,000-storers globally.
