A benefit for Yasenia Thomas and her fight against Pierre Robin Syndrome (or sequence), a condition where children are born without a fully formed jaw, will be held at Fatz on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 8-10 a.m. at 1361 W. Wade Hampton Blvd.

The Short Stacks for Big Change event will go toward purchasing a service dog for Yasenia. Her parents suggest a cuddly companion will help Yasenia during this difficult time, as she is not able to spend much time with siblings and friends.

Yasenia has had 19 surgeries and is scheduled for more to correct this syndrome.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $7 and can be purchased by contacting Jessica Thomas at 864-631-5377 or [email protected]. Donations at the breakfast are welcome.
