Country singer Benton Blount will perform on Tuesday’s final audition episode of “America’s Got Talent”.

“Auditions 7” is on NBC between 8-10 p.m.

Celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howard Stern make their final decisions in auditions across the country to determine which acts will go on to Judge Cuts.

Nick Cannon hosts this variety competition series which features a colorful array of hopeful future stars as they perform for the chance to win the $1 million prize.

Blount, the stay-at-home dad, 35, surprises audiences in an action-packed episode this week, according to an NBC spokesperson. He has performed throughout the greater Greer area at venues and festivals.

Blount, who lives in Greenville, played high football until he found his passion for music while singing at his local church. He plays his “country as cornbread” music on the weekends, hoping to inspire listeners with his positive outlook on life. He is a native of Valdese, N.C.

“It has been a hard road. One minute you are signed with a label and the next minute it closes its door and I had to start all over again," he said. "I came to Greenville and played several festivals and shows and after three short weeks I fell in love with it, and it just really felt like home to me. My wife’s family is from Travelers Rest and it just all made sense to make this place my home,” Blount told GreerToday.com in an earlier interview.

Blount has opened for The Moonshiners Band, which is from the West Coast. He also opened for the Charlie Daniels Band.
