Blue Ridge edges Greer in girls tennis

Blue Ridge slipped past Greer in a girls Region II-AAA tennis match Thursday.

 

Kylie Sandusky of Greer ran her record to 12-2 this season without losing a game in her No. 1 singles match. Sandusky and Henline won their doubles match.

Singles

 

No. 1 K. Sandusky (G) def. H. Cox 6-0, 6-0.

 

No. 2 K. Gibson (B) def. H. Taylor 6-3, 6-1.

 

No. 3 M. Harvey (G) def. H. Chapman 6-4, 7-6.

 

No. 4 Lynn (B) def. G. Harvell 6-0, 6-0.

 

No. 5 Driscoll (B) def. H. Henline 7-6, 6-4.

 

Doubles

 

No. 1 Sandusky/Henline (G) def. Cox/Gibson  8-4.

 

No. 1 D. Flood/G. Rohrer (B) def.  E. Swearingin/O. Turner 6-3, 6-3.

 

Greer 4-10 overall, 9-3 Region II-AAA.
