Brushy Creek Elementary is finalist for Palmetto Finest

Brushy Creek Elementary is one of two Greenville County schools named finalists for the 2012 Palmetto’s Finest awards.

Stone Academy of Communication Arts in Greenville County joins Beech Hill Elementary in Dorchester and Burgess Elementary in Horry County as the four finalists.

Each year, two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school receive the top honors. 

The middle school finalists are Kelly Mill Middle in Richland and Beaufort Middle in Beaufort County. ??The high school finalists are Fort Mill High in York, Hilton Head Island High in Beaufort County and Blythewood High in Richland.

The awards recognize schools with high-achieving students, innovative education programs, high-quality teachers and strong community involvement.

The winners will be named March 27 in Columbia.
