The Citizens Building and Loan Foundation has given a $5,000 gift to the Quick Jobs With a Future program at Greenville Technical College. The gift will provide tuition assistance to Greer area residents participating in the training program that gives people skills to enter career fields with openings in the Upstate.

“With the rapid changes in the workplace too many people are without work simply because their skills don’t match an employer’s needs. We want to be a part of bridging that gap,” said Foundation CEO, Thomas Johnson.

Quick Jobs Director, Steve Hand, said, “For many people who have been unemployed or underemployed for some time, the small cost of tuition is a big obstacle. This gift will make it possible for up to a dozen people to get skills that will lead to employment.”
