The Citizens Building & Loan Charitable Foundation has donated $10,000 in support of the Greer Christian Learning Center. The funds will be used toward the completion of the Greer Christian Learning Center’s new building across from Blue Ridge Middle School, according to Pierce Williams, GCLC treasurer.

“CBL has been a great supporter to this community, and especially to the Greer Christian Learning Center and we are very grateful,” Williams said. “We look forward to the completion of our new building which will greatly benefit the entire Blue Ridge community.”

The CBL Foundation was started in 1999 to further the financial institution’s mission to give back to the community. The Foundation targets non-profits in the greater Greer area and other organizations and entities that support the growth and success of the community and to benefit local citizens.

• Citizens Building & Loan, at 229 Trade Street, has been serving the mortgage lending and savings needs of Greer and the surrounding communities since 1907. For more information visit CB&L.
