The Cherokee County Peach City Fuzz won the 4th annual Greer Police Department softball tournament at Century B Park by winning the final two games of he double elimination tournament.

The Greenville City Blue Bombers finished second and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office third. The Greer Police Department was eliminated after consecutive losses.

Officer Tim Harrison received the Surviving Warrior award during the opening ceremony for his injuries sustained in the shootout at the Greenville Law Enforcement Center.  He also threw out the first pitch. 

The Greer Police Department, who hosted the tournament, raised more than $4,000 for the Gallagher’s Army Fallen Officer Fund. The money is reserved for the families of officers killed in the line of duty in the upstate area only.
