Crone hired as executive director for technical colleges

The South Carolina Association of Technical College Commissioners (SCATCC) has hired Elizabeth “Lil” Crone as the organization’s executive director, responsible for serving trustees and expanding awareness of colleges in the South Carolina Technical College System.

With a background in graphic design, sales, and marketing, Crone served as Print Sales & Account Manager for Quad Graphics in Washington, D.C. and as an independent design professional with clients in Virginia, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Crone received a bachelor’s degree from Roanoke College and completed a graduate studies program at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Ga. A Williamsburg, Va., native, she relocated to Columbia in 2012 and has since been active in the community through the Columbia Museum of Art.

She is participating in the United Way of the Midlands Blueprint for Leadership. Blueprint is a professional development course focused on nonprofit law, the roles and responsibilities of board members, strategic leadership, best practices in programs, and nonprofit governance.
