Former Major League Baseball all-star pitcher David Wells is binging on aces.

Wells aced Thornblade Club’s par-3 ninth hole, the final hole Saturday, to team with professional Evan Harmeling and won the BMW Charity Pro-Am low handicap celebrity division with -26 under par.

It was Wells’ third ace this year, all of them coming since April and his second in a pro-am competition.  Wells recorded his first ace at the Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles in early April. His second ace was recorded in the Valspar Pro-Am on April 28 at Innisbrook Resort at Palm Harbor, Fla.

Wells was interviewed on NBC Sports Radio earlier this week from the BMW Pro-Am tournament and talked about his recent aces preceding Saturday’s pro-am team championship.
