Mike Davies joins the bank as President of United Community Mortgage Services.
Chris Gompper is Senior Vice President, Director of Product Management and Payments.
Davies comes to United Community Bank with more than 28 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. As President of United Community Mortgage Services, he will oversee the bank’s mortgage line of business, manage a team of originators and develop strategic expansion plans. Davies most recently served as Senior Vice President, Director of Mortgage and Consumer Lending with First Federal in Charleston.
Gompper brings more than 31 years of experience in the banking industry. As Senior Vice President, Director of Product Management and Payments, his primary responsibilities include managing Corporate Services, merchant services and overseeing the business aspects of the bank’s digital strategy, including online banking, mobile banking and social media. This newly created position will partner with technology to enhance the bank’s digital strategy and emphasize the company’s increasing focus on serving its customers through multiple channels.
