Trade Street will be going to the dogs on Tuesday, July 10. Greer Station Association is promoting its inaugural "Tuesdays On Trade" with a dog parade and other canine festivities.

The Greer Station Association is adding Tuesdays on Trade to downtown Greer’s expanding entertainment scene.

Beginning July 10, events are planned every Tuesday through the holiday season in December.

Reno Deaton, Executive Director of the Greer Development Corporation, likes the prospect of bringing more people into downtown Greer. “By doing things like Tuesdays on Trade, we give folks a reason to visit downtown,” said Deaton.

A “Bring Your Dog Downtown Night” is the first event. It includes a Puppy Parade and a Doggie Dress-Up contest.

Greer hosts the “Classic Car Cruise- In” with the Upstate and Foothills Mustang Club on July 17, a Sidewalk Sale on July 24 and a Photography class and tour with photographer John Cureton on the July 31,

Lisa Suber, owner of the Stomping Grounds restaurant and newly inducted board member of the Greer Association, is planning ghost tours in October as part of Tuesdays on Trade.

“Through Tuesdays on Trade, we hope to increase foot traffic in Greer and give exposure to the merchants,” said Deaton.
