Eastside landed the Region II 3A player and coach of the year and three players on the all-region girls’ basketball team announced Monday.
Jessica Garlington is the player of the year and Eastside coach Cindy Mattos-DeHart is the coach of the year in the region.
Garlington and Greer’s Diamon Shift were named to the All-State team.
The 13-member team included a player from each team in the region.
The All-Region II 3A team and other standout awards are:
• Eastside – Jessica Garlington, Taylor Thompson, and Kennedy Taylor
• Greer – Diamon Shiflet and Marshea Murray
• Emerald – Quadijah Moore and Tanaizah Searles
• Travelers Rest – Vonshayla Webb and Meredith Shipman
• Southside – Alexis Sales
• Berea – Sakorea Black
• Chapman – Daisha Brownlee
• Blue Ridge – Haven Rice
