Eastside and Hartsville will play for the Class AAA boys basketball championship next Saturday at Colonia Life Arena in Columbia.
Eastside beat Daniel, 64-60, in overtime Saturday at the Bi-Lo Center. Hartsville advanced to the state championship by beating Darlington, 64-62.
Daniel (21-7) had an 8-point third quarter advantage but didn’t score in the final 4:47 of regulation. Eastside (25-3) tied the game 54-54 with 53 seconds left in the game.
Sherman led Eastside with 27 points, Davaris McGowens scored 13 points and Nigel Owens added 11.
Justin Dotson scored 24 points for Daniel with Jae’lon Oglesby adding 14 points and Nigel Owens scored 10 points.
