Enclosed trailer for first responders on scene is needed

Published on Tuesday, May 20, 2014

An enclosed trailer to serve first responders at scenes is being sought by Jeff Pitman, a former fireman.

Pitman said a 5x10 trailer with a ramp rear door and side door is suggested and slightly larger if available.

Pitman said businesses have committed to providing supplies but a vehicle to store and bring food and drinks is needed for the mobility of reaching first responders. Pitman said the Riverwood Farm fire is an example where the vehicle would have been advantageous.

“After the Riverwood Farm fire it became obviously clear that all of the local departments, including law enforcement did not have the funds or set up for large events,” Pitman said.

Pitman served 23.5 years as a firefighter, Greenville County EMS and a reserve officer with the Greer Police Department. His son, Drew, is a firefighter with the Greer FD.

Call Pitman at 864-608-0634 or email here for more information.
