The Vintage Market at the Park is hosting its fall event Oct. 15 at Greer City Park.

More than 95 vendors, the biggest turnout for the event, are expected for the seasonal pop-up market. Food trucks and live entertainment will also be featured for the 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. market.

Market Director Wanda Garcia, who originated the event in Greer, is hosting the market for restored and up-cycled pieces. “We love being able to provide a market event that spotlights the ‘American makers movement’ and is a unique outdoor shopping experience at the same time.”

Returning vendors include Freshly Vintage Things, restored and up-cycled pieces, Shelf143 with its salvaged wood décor, metal artisan SculptinSC, and the Blue Door with furniture and antiques.

Among new vendors are Banzai Metal featuring floral sculptures crafted out of silverware, and Tiny House Big Farm with specialty items that include whipped soaps, sugar scrubs and bath bombs.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Saved by the Heart, a Greer-based local animal rescue.

Saved by the Heart is a non-profit housing dozens of special needs dogs and cats, and also organizes community events to raise awareness regarding homeless pets in the area, the importance of spay/neuter, and low-cost veterinary care programs that are available in the Upstate.
