Maestro Kory Vrieze returns for his sixth season with the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

The Foothills? ?Philharmonic? ?Orchestra? will launch its new season with The? ?Opening? ?Night? ?Gala:? ?Masterworks? ?I on Saturday, Sept. 23

The six-concert series is free and will be held at Riverside Baptist Church at 1249 S. Suber Road. The programs are 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Maestro Kory Vrieze returns for his sixth season.

The Masterworks I program includes Robert Schumann's Symphony No. 4, Danzas Fantasticas by Joachin Turina, and The William Tell Overture by Gioachino Rossini.

The Foothills Orchestra is all-volunteer with accomplished non-professional musicians from the Upstate.

Refreshments will be provided following the performance at a reception where people can meet and greet the performers. Opening night also begins with an art sale benefiting local artists.
