If you receive a phone call suggesting otherwise, hang up and report scammers to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office at 864-467-5300.
The scammers are telling people that they have missed jury duty and must “pay a fine” to avoid an arrest warrant being issued against them, according to the Sheriff’s office.
The Sheriff’s office reminds the public it will never solicit money over the phone for any reason.
