Greer High Photography students participated in the Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District K-12 Photography Competition.

Carson Barrs received overall Best In Show for his photo. Lyndsey Sears won 1st place in the 10th-grade category and Breanna Walden received an Honorable Mention.

GHS National Honor Society helps Cops for Tots

The Greer High chapter of the National Honor Society gave more than 130 toys to the Cops for Tots program. This is a yearly project for the chapter. Participating students included: Jesse Franz, Hayley Cromer, Kendall Cromer, Gibson James, JuliaAnn Gilbert, Grayson Sullivan, Kathleen Price, Jessica Greene, Janah Fowler, Garrett Poole, and Bailey Estes.

GHS students attend Business Ethics luncheon

 Junior Achievement of the Upstate held an essay contest on "Ethics in Technology."

The topics of the essay were: Government Surveillance, Ethics in the Age of Social Media and 3, To Block or Not to Block.

Students at Greer High were invited to attend the Business Ethics luncheon held at USC Upstate with other schools from Spartanburg and Greenville County.

A panel of technology experts answered questions from moderator, Phil Yanov. JA split up school attendees to allow interaction with students from other schools. Students said theyleft the luncheon thinking about "the right thing to do" in regards to technology.
