Gold's Gym is building a fitness center in the former Bloom grocery store at 1207 West Wade Hampton Blvd.
The $3.6 million, 38,985-square-foot fitness center will be located in the vacated former Bloom grocery store at 1207 West Wade Hampton Blvd.
“It’s good to fill an empty big box store,” Glenn Pace told GreerToday.com. “That’s one of the busiest intersections (Buncombe Road and Wade Hampton Blvd.) in Greer."
Vehicle traffic averages more than 33,000 a day or a million per month, according to economic development figures.
The upfit of the building has just begun and no projected opening date was available.
DWB Greer LLC of Fountain Inn is the listed owner. Parkway Construction and Associates of Lewisville, Texas is the listed contractor.
Gold’s Gym has a Greenville location at Cherrydale and closed a fitness center at E. North Street. The franchise had a location in Spartanburg on North Main Street that closed in June. Its west side gym was sold and is now Planet Fitness.
