A Greenville County Deputy has been terminated after being involved in a domestic violence incident.

Michael Valdario was terminated when the Travelers Rest Police Department brought to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office that he was involved in a domestic dispute.

The incident occurred in TRPD’s jurisdiction and ultimately led to their agency charging Valdario with Domestic Violence. Upon learning the facts of the incident, the Office of Professional Standards conducted an internal investigation and the Sheriff was terminated, according to the GCSO.

“As an agency, we are disheartened by these allegations, which violate the strict standards set forth in the Sheriff’s Office policy and code of ethics and our thoughts and prayers are will all parties involved,” according to a GCSO announcement.
