The Greenville Technical College Area Commission today approved a tuition and fee freeze for summer and fall 2020. The board took this action to keep education affordable as families experience financial setbacks brought on by the pandemic.
With a commitment to holding costs steady and keeping quality high, board members hope students will stay the course and complete their degrees in order to be well prepared for the opportunities ahead. The board’s expectation is that Greenville Technical College graduates will be needed across the economy to aid with rebuilding as conditions begin to improve.
This action keeps the cost of 12 credit hours at $2,389 (or $1,069 with lottery tuition assistance for those who qualify) for a resident of Greenville County. An out-of-county resident would pay $2,593 (or $1,273 with lottery funds) for 12 credit hours.
Greenville Technical College administrators expect to welcome students back in the fall with a return to the college’s wide range of course delivery formats. Those who prefer face-to-face classes will have plenty of courses from which to choose, and those more comfortable with online and hybrid formats will also have a multitude of options. Fall Semester classes will begin as scheduled on Monday, August 24.
