Within mere hours of this article appearing in Greertoday.com by Jim Fair, the fine citizens/business people of Greer, SC were offering assistance/space for the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 39.

The chapter members send their thanks for the heartwarming response to the unforeseen predicament they found themselves.

A big "shout out" to the following for their immediate offers of assistance:

• The Jean M. Smith Library in Greer for a temporary location.

• Grey Garland of The Stomping Grounds Coffee House and Wine Bar.

• Dawn at Wild Ace Pizza and Pub.

• Toni Edge of Thrive at Greer.

• Pastor Greene, Victorian Hills Community Church

This community camaraderie is what Greer is all about and we recognize this fact.

Thrive at Greer has agreed to provide space for our monthly meeting beginning in April.

On behalf of the DAV, Chapter 39 members …thank you!
