Greer Middle College boys cross country team was honored with a proclamation presented by Mayor Rick Danner at City Council Tuesday.
It is the first state championship won by GMC in any sport.
Micah Williams received a proclamation for his winning the Class A championship.
Team members are Micah Williams, Jacob Hudson, Chandler Scott, Ryan Hoffman, Christian Dunn, Seth Corey and Matt Siles. All finished among the top 30 finishers.
