Greer Relief gets Christmas cheer; Roses for Relief next

It was Christmas in February for Greer Relief when the Greer Jaycees presented a $1,100 check from the proceeds of the 2011 Christmas Parade.  Kendra Kemp, president of the Greer Jaycees, presented the check Thursday  to Caroline Robinson, Executive Director of Greer Relief. The Jaycees welcome guests to their meetings at 7 p.m. on every third Thursday at His Vineyard on Arlington.

Rose for Relief St. Patrick's Celebration is Greer Relief's next big event, scheduled on March 17 from 7 p.m. to midnight at 317 S. Buncombe Road. A silent auction, live band, Irish menu and bar will be part of the program.

The cost is $65 per person before March 1 and $75 after.  White Rose Table Sponsors for eight is $600 and Peach Rose table sponsors for four is $300.

All proceeds benefit Greer Relief.

Volunteers, at least 20, are need on site during the event. Call Maddie Batlas, Volunteer & Donation Coordinator.
