Greer Head Coach Will Young auditions the 2014 football team Friday at 6 p.m. at the Yellow Jackets’ annual spring game at Dooley Field. Admission is free.

“We’ve got some kids playing different positions because we have some holes to fill, especially on defense,” Young said.

The passing combo of quarterback Mario Cusano and wide receiver Dorian Lindsey will be hooking up again as juniors. “Marco has been throwing the ball well and Dorian has been playing well,” Young said.

Adrian McGee takes over at running back, replacing Quez Nesbitt, the most prolific Greer running back, who broke records that are unimaginable to break.

It will be offense versus defense in the four 12-minute running quarters.

Young has set a standard spring format. Quarterbacks will wear red over their jerseys and plays will be stopped by two-hand touch or a “quick” whistle.
