Greer's Eden's Confections wins international VE Catalog competition

VE team is 6th in Business Plan, earns 2 top 10 honorable mentions

Chanie Robinson-Cain, Makenzie Cain, Crystal Helton and Dezmon Scott won the Inernational Virtual Enterprise Catalog Competition in New York City last week. Their business, Eden's Confections, was sixth for best business plan.

 

Greer High School’s Virtual Enterprise business, Eden’s Confections, won first place in the Catalog Competition in the International Trade Show of the Youth Business Summit in New York City last week.

The team beat an international field that included teams from Brazil, Bulgaria and Indonesia.

Chanie Robinson-Cain, Makenzie Cain, Crystal Helton and Dezmon Scott earned 6th place in the Business Plan competition and they also earned top 10 honorable mention in the Booth Competition and Sales Competition.

Adam Massey, who teaches VE classes at Greer High School, was the team’s coordinator.

Students select a product line, name the company, create a logo, write a business plan, complete start-up task such as, open their firm, sell their products and learn how businesses operate. More than 4,000 students attended the competition.

Greer’s team competition and results were:

• 1. Champions of Catalog Competition

• 6th, National Business Plan competition

• Honorable mention: Booth competition, Outstanding (Top 10)

• Honorable mention: Sales competition
