Megan Huffman from Greer has been honored as a top 10 finalist in the Newman’s Own “Greens for Good” salad recipe contest. Huffman created an original salad recipe for a shot at a $35,000 grand prize donation to the Meyer Center for Special Children.
Huffman’s Spiralizer Sesame Ginger salad is paired with Lite Low Fat Sesame Ginger dressing.
The Meyer Center will receive a $1,000 donation for Huffman being a finalist. The Meyer Center for Special Children focuses on enriching the lives of children with disabilities so they reach their maximum potential.
The winner of the contest will be decided by voters here through Oct. 5. Other contestants’ recipes and their charity are available.
