The Virtual Enterprise class from Greer High School won first place in three divisions – Business Card, Salesmanship, Business Plan – in the State Business Plan Competition and Southern Region Trade Show in Myrtle Beach.

The team advances to the National Business Plan Competition at Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y., April 17-19. The team will compete in three competitions, National Business Plan, Global Business Challenge and International Trade Show.

“The students had an awesome time and are so excited for the chance to participate in the National Business Plan Competition and International Trade Show, with team from all over the world, in New York,” VE teacher Brad Redd said.

“They will get the chance to meet and greet CEOs and presidents from Fortune 500 companies,” Redd said. “They also get to participate in the Global Business Challenge where they work with students from different countries to prepare a solutions based presentation to present to industry based judges.”

Chocolate Couture earned sixth place as the highest finish of a Greer team at the nationals.
