Grocery store chain recalling Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad
Publix Super Markets is recalling its Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad with the UPC # 41415-39662. The product might be contaminated with the bacteria Listeriosis.

The supplier is Allison’s Gourmet Kitchens, which alerted the grocery store chain.

The pre-packaged 12-ounce containers have use-by dates of 4/5/2013, 4/14/2013 and 4/17/2013. Publix has stores in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product. Consumers who have purchased the product in question may return the product to their local store for a full refund, said a Publix spokesperson.

Publix customers with additional questions may call its Customer Care Center at 1-800-242-1227, or visit website at www.publix.com. Customers also can contact Allison’s Gourmet Kitchens at 1-405-735-2017 or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration at 1-888-SAFEFOOD (1-888-723-3366).

Listeriosis, a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, is a disease primarily affecting older adults, pregnant women, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems.
