Passenger traffic increased 8.9 percent in June compared to the same month in 2016 at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.
GSP President/CEO Dave Edwards reasoned the culmination of the $125 million terminal improvement project with extended customer services and amenities within the terminal is a contributor.
“These are some of the strongest numbers we’ve seen in a while,” said Edwards.
“Having recently completed WINGSPAN, our $125 million terminal renovation program, and looking at these numbers, I feel like stealing a line from the movie ‘Field of Dreams’ and say, if you build it they will come," said Edwards.
