Greer High School’s baseball team played a preseason game with Greer Middle Charter High School Tuesday, taking advantage of warmer temperatures.

Pitcher Brandon Wortkoetter, a sophomore, got some innings of work pitching for Greer.

Greer’s baseball season begins within two weeks. That would have been hard to perceive last week when nearly five inches of snow fell on most parts of Greer and the ground stayed covered until Sunday.

Near record high temperatures in the low 70s are forecast for Wednesday.
