The 4th Annual iMOVE 5K Run/Walk will be May 3. Check-in will be at 8 a.m., pre-race warmup at 8:30 a.m., and the start of the race/walk at 9 a.m.  

All  proceeds will be donated to "Let There Be Mom" and "Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services."

Baseball/softball games set

The first baseball game of the season will be RMS vs. Beck on Monday, March 10 at Riverside Middle School. Games begin at 5 p.m.  On Thursday, March 13, it will be RMS vs. Woodmont Middle School. The softball team will play at 5 p.m. at RMS and the baseball team will play at 5 p.m. at Woodmont Middle School.  

First soccer game is March 11

The first soccer game of the season will be RMS vs. Beck on Tuesday, March 11 at Beck Middle School. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.  


Next PTSA meeting is March 11

Riverside Middle School’s next monthly PTSA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11th at 9 a.m. 

Zaxby's hosting Spirit Night on March 11

Zaxby’s on Batesville Road is hosting Spirit Night for Riverside Middle School on Tuesday, March 11 from 5-8 p.m. 

RMS students participate in Zoo Career Day

Several RMS students  participated in the Greenville Zoo’s Career Day recently as a job shadowing opportunity. The students were exposed to the various careers available at the zoo: zoo educator, veterinarian, vet technician, curator, zoo chef, etc.  

RMS students participate in All State Orchestra Event

The following RMS students who participated in the All State Orchestra Event at Furman University on Feb. 21-23. Participants were Cindy Li Hailey Howell, Ikumi Chigusa, Madison Bevan, Emmy Klaiser, Louise Averitt, Stephan Voelk.

Science students study dissection, apologize to frogs

Richane Robbins' 7th-grade science students studied multiple system integration through hands-on dissection. They compared the frog anatomy to humans.  Following the frog dissection, students wrote an "apology letter" to explain why they did the dissection, how grateful they were for the experience, and to give details about what they learned.
