Karen Zhao of Riverside High School has been chosen as a 2016 U.S. Presidential Scholar.
The Presidential Scholars Program recognizes the nation's most distinguished high school seniors.
Students are chosen based on academic achievement and exceptional performance on the SAT or ACT. Zhao will receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., where she will be honored at a ceremony sponsored by the White House.
