Sue Gunst was enjoying a sunny afternoon while trimming the roses and clearing the flowerbed in front of the Riverside High School sign on Suber Road. Gunst’s mother, Jean Lange, read magazines in the warmer afternoon.

Gunst is a member of the landscape committee that helps plant flowers and clears the areas around the school’s signage and entrances. Other committee members are Kelle Corvin, Charlotte Stillwell and Michele Peek.

The committee is planning a workday on the National Day of Service.

Walmart on Pelham Road and Home Depot on Wade Hampton donated the supplies.
