A Madden NFL 25 tournament will be held Saturday at the Greer Walmart from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Two age groups will vie for prizes with snacks provided during the tournament.
Two age groups, 9-16 years and 17-above, will compete with prizes for the winner. Snacks will be provided throughout the day for participants in the store’s Garden Center.
"We're trying to make this an annual event," Dana Hill, Walmart Greer store manager, said. "We're doing more 'retail-tainment' in our stores." Retailers are making shopping trips more of an experience.
Madden official game rules will be used for the tournament.
Walmart of Greer has “adopted” Greer High School in past years with continued support for education and sports programs. Blue Ridge High School is its adopted school this year.

Madden NFL 25 was released Aug. 27. The 25 reflects the 25th anniversary of the series instead of numbering it Madden NFL 14 with the year like its previous versions.
