Dr. David Malpass, a pediatric cardiologist with Children’s Hospital of Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center (GHS), received the GHS Children’s Hospital Pediatrician of the Year Award at the 20th annual DeLoache Seminar.
The peer-nominated award is given annually to a pediatrician whose dedication to patient care exemplifies excellence.
Malpass was lauded for his advocacy for children and families, tireless efforts to coordinate care between multiple physicians involved in his patients’ care, and dedication to teaching medical students and house staff.
He also is a volnteer, serving with Piedmont Women’s Center and Palmetto Hearts, as well as participating in medical missions to Liberia.
