Mayor Rick Danner is the Grand Marshal for the Greer Christmas Parade Sunday. The parade begins at 2:30 at Clock restaurant.
Greer Relief, the organizer for this year’s event, made the announcement today.
Danner is serving his fourth term as mayor of the City of Greer. His tenure has covered one of the most progressive periods in the city’s history, including unprecedented industrial and commercial growth and construction of the city’s magnificent new Municipal Complex, which includes a three-story City Hall, a Police and Courts Complex, and the 12-acre City Park.
Danner’s recent work to facilitate the newly opened Greer Inland Port will change entire perspective of Greer.
This year’s Greer Christmas Parade will feature over 75 parade units including community groups, businesses and marching bands. Santa Claus will be a featured guest of the parade. The parade lineup will be available at Greer Relief Friday.
