McGogens leads Greer students earning Arts Awards
Johnee McGogens won the Gold Key for her Digital Art entry in the Scholastic Art Awards in the Southeast Region.

The Scholastic Art & Writing awards recognize the vision, ingenuity and talent of youth, and provide opportunities for creative teens to be celebrated.

McGogens’ entry, Into the Wild, led seven Greer students earning 10 awards.

Madison Calvert and Kelly Sherburne won Silver Key awards for their digital art entries.

Greer students, placement, medium and title of their work are:

Kaylee Sherburne - Silver Key, Digital Art, Through the Looking Glass

Alexis Anderson- Honorable Mention, Painting, Change

Laura Brown- Honorable Mention, Drawing, Half Full

Mandy Farmer - Honorable Mention, Photography and Sometimes You've Got to Let Go

Mandy Farmer - Honorable Mention, Digital Art, Empty Feeling
