A Military Benefit Night for the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) will be held on Monday, Jan. 12 at all Ovation Brands restaurants. The Greer-based family casual restaurant chain includes Ryan's, HomeTown Buffet and Old Country Buffet.

The national fundraiser will be held 5-8 p.m. and a portion of the sales generated during that time will be donated to ASYMCA.

Military Mondays will be re-launched on Jan. 12. Every Monday, all active, reserve, retired military and their spouses receive exclusive discounts all day at the restaurants. Prices are $5.99 adult lunch, $8.99 adult dinner and $1.99 kids meal pricing, as well as the addition of themed menu items and special in-store activities that celebrate the military. Valid military ID is required for the discounts.

“The ASYMCA provides critical programs and services for our active duty military men and women, as well as their families. We are honored to align ourselves with this highly regarded organization” said Anthony Wedo, CEO for Ovation Brands and newly appointed ASYMCA national board member.

“The Military Benefit Night further emphasizes our commitment to the brave soldiers who sacrifice so much for our freedom and safety, and their loved ones who stand by them,” said Wedo. “We anticipate raising at least $10,000 for the ASYMCA with the help of our guests.”

“The ASYMCA relies on the generosity of supporters and partners like Ovation Brands to continue our programs,” said Mike Landers, President and CEO of the national ASYMCA. “Thanks to their support nationally and locally, we are able to continue programs like Operations Outdoors (a camp program for military children and parents) and Operation Hero (an after-school program that helps elementary-aged military children cope with the stress of having a parent or parents who are deployed). We are fortunate to offer a number of programs free of charge for active military, their spouses, and children.”
