The 2011 queens are from left to right: Lauren Powell, Miss Blue Ridge Foothills Teen; Kinsley Johnson, Miss Blue Ridge Foothills; Anna Catherine English, Miss Wade Hampton Taylors, and Miranda Gist, Miss Wade Hampton Taylors Teen.
The categories for the Pageant are: interview, fitness; talent and evening gown. The ages are 13-17 for teens (must be a junior in high school or less); the Miss ages are 17-24. They must be a senior in high school and cannot turn 24 before December 31.
Two winners will be selected in each category.
The teen fee is $115 and includes the t-shirt for fitness.
The Miss contestants must create an account in http://www.missamerica4kids.org/ and raise $100 before the day of the competition to be eligible to compete.
Children's Miracle Network is the Miss America national platform, so local contestants are required to raise money for it.
There is a mandatory contestant meeting on Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. at SDC in Greer.
