Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have solved the homicide case that occurred on Jan. 24 at 3 Mendel Drive in Greenville.
Investigators determined that 22 year-old, Kyle Louis Griesinger shot and killed his father, Steve Griesinger for an undetermined reason that investigators are still working to figure out,” according to Lt. Ryan Flood of the GCSO.
Investigators learned that Kyle and his father lived together at the time of the incident.
Following the shooting, Kyle Griesinger stole his father’s truck and fled to Norwood, Ohio where his body was found earlier Tuesday morning inside of his father’s truck.
Kyle’s cause of death is an apparent suicide and that case is being investigated by the Norwood Police Department.
Investigators who had warrants issued against Kyle for Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime have since recalled the charges, according to Flood.
