Nancy’s son, Nelson, visited this morning and her sister, from Atlanta, has been with her since Monday.
The doctor who performed the procedure said it went better than expected.
Nancy is reportedly in good spirits and is expected to remain in the hospital at least through this week. She has begun the healing process. The recovery process will take at least 6 to 8 weeks.
“She thanks people for their prayers and thoughts,” the spokesperson said.
