Robert “Bob” Lee Newhart, Sr., who served in the United States Air Force for 21 years during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, died Jan. 15. Newhart served in the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia. He was honored as the Lion of the Year in 2010 and active in community service throughout his career.
