No. 1 ranked North Greenville University, 43-6, will play in the NCAA Division Southeast Regional at a date and site to be announced. Collegiate Baseball has NGU ranked No. 1 and the National College Baseball Writers Association has the Crusaders ranked No. 2.
The Crusaders went undefeated, 4-0, through the Conference Carolinas Tournament, at Burlington, N.C., winning the championship game, 7-2, over Mount Olive. NGU outscored opponents 46-10.
John Jones was named Most Outstanding Player for the tournament. Alex Williams, Jeffrey Chandler, Blake Hamilton, and Tucker Burgess were named to the all-championship team.
Williams had three hits, three runs batted in and scored three times in the championship game. Connor Grant drove in two runs and Jeffrey Chandler scored twice.
North Greenville plays its final three regular season games this weekend versus Nova Southeastern University at Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The Southeastern Regional is May 17-21.
